Anjali Saravani was acquired by UP Warriorz for INR 55 lakh in the first WPL auction, adding a left-arm pace option to the squad. After years of hard work, she made her T20I debut against Australia in 2022 at DY Patil Stadium. She had a stellar 2022-23 domestic season, helping Railways and Central Zone win the Senior Women's T20 Trophy and Inter Zonal T20 Trophy. Anjali was the highest wicket-taker in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy (17 wickets in 10 innings) and joint-highest in the Inter Zonal T20 (10 wickets in 6 innings). WPL offers her a platform to further shine on the international stage.
