Born on May 14, 1993, in Pretoria, Dané Van Niekerk is a prominent cricketer from South Africa and a valuable all-rounder in world cricket. Known for her aggressive approach in the game, Dané is a right-arm leg-spinner and a top order batter. She made her international debut at the 2009 World Cup in Australia.In 2013, Van Niekerk claimed a hat-trick against West Indies in St. Kitts, and scored her maiden half-century later in the year, against Pakistan. Dané has also been a successful captain for South Africa. The Royal Challengers Bangalore secured the all-rounder's place in the squad in the inaugural auction of the WPL.
