GG spent INR 30 Lakh to bring Dayalan Hemalatha on board at the WPL 2023 Auction. Hemalatha has had a stop-start international career, but has been a regular at GG, scoring 266 runs at a highly impressive strike-rate of 143.78 after 16 games across the first two seasons. While her batting higher up the order is a point of focus, Hemalatha is a useful off-spinner as well. With a comeback into the national side in sight, WPL 2025 will be crucial for the 30-year-old.
