Born on September 5, 1997, Indrani Roy began her cricketing journey at the age of fifteen and plays as a wicketkeeper-batter. She currently represents Jharkhand in domestic tournaments and cites former Team India captain MS Dhoni as her idol. In the 2020-21 season of the Senior Women's One Day Trophy, Indrani hammered two centuries and ended up as the leading run-getter in the tournament. In May, 2021, she earned her maiden call-up to the Indian women's cricket team for their tour of England. Roy has a promising future ahead of her and the wicketkeeper-batter was picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural WPL auction for INR 10 Lakhs.
