Meg Lanning has already achieved legendary status in her playing career. One of the greats of the game, she's achieved a lot in her playing career. And now she's set to add more feathers to her cap in the Women's Premier League. Nicknamed 'the Megastar', Lanning is one of the best captains in the business and can blow away oppositions with her aggressive batting. She is a winner who built a champion Australian team in the last few years. She's a good reader of the game and a great tactician, a testament of which is her glittering trophy cabinet which consists of four T20 World Cups (2014, 2018, 2020, 2023) and one 50-over ODI World Cup (2022) and a Commonwealth Games gold medal. She's led Australia to a world record 26 wins in a row. Lanning was the highest run-getter in the inaugural edition of the WPL with 345 runs from 9 innings. In November 2023, she announced her international retirement at 31. She will be looking to add another trophy to her cabinet with Delhi Capitals.
