Shweta Sehrawat was picked up by the UP Warriorz for INR 40 lakh, four times her base price at the inaugural auction. Delhi Capitals also went for the 18-year-old but it was Warriorz who clinched the deal. Shweta sprung into the limelight at the 2023 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup where she finished as the highest run-getter in the tournament with 297 runs from seven innings at an average of 99, possessing a strike-rate of 139.43. She hit three fifties in those seven innings with the highest score of 92 not out. Her maturity and temperament stood out right through the tournament. She was calm under pressure and adapted well to different situations and conditions. She has a compact technique and possesses a range of strokes in her arsenal. She adds a lot of stability to Warriorz's top order. The WPL will be another step in the learning process for the talented youngster.
